BIM/Revit Technician

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interpret and produce drawings from sketches, notes, and verbal instructions
  • Understand and assist in the organization and production of plans, sections, elevations, and details
  • Work with project teams to meet deliverables and deadlines
  • Help improve communication and understanding through clear documentation
  • Maintain drafting standards
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of standard Revit details

Job Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in Revit (3 years preferred)
  • Able to set up projects in Revit — linking architectural models, setting up plans, levels, and sheets
  • Knowledgeable in AutoCAD
  • Project experience and working knowledge of steel, concrete, and wood design is a plus

Qualifications

  • Revit: 3 years preferred — intermediate level of Revit software skills
  • Structural BIM/CAD: 1+ year of experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu is a plus
  • AA degree in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting Technology, or equivalent
  • Able to work in a group setting and contribute to group discussions
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good verbal and written communication — an active listener
  • Adept at problem-solving
  • General office skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Forensic Building Inspector

Part-TimeMonday to FridayTravelFull Training Provided

The Forensic Building Inspector’s primary responsibility will be to perform property damage assessments for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.

  • Is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, able to lead and perform work with minimal supervision after the initial training period
  • Thrives working independently and is well-disciplined at completing work in a timely manner
  • Is courteous and respectful to the needs of others under all circumstances, maintaining a flexible approach and demeanor
  • Communicates effectively with project stakeholders — internal and external clients, contractors, and clients of our clients
  • Is committed to producing quality deliverables and completing assignments on time

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering with 3+ years of full-time engineering experience
  • A valid driver’s license with willingness to travel to remote locations to perform site studies
  • Able and willing to work overtime depending on project needs
  • Able and willing to perform physical tasks as necessary to complete site studies — including walking on building roofs, climbing stairs and ladders, and crawling through confined spaces (primarily attics and crawlspaces)
  • Must follow safe work practices without reservation and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
